Hi there! I’m Niki, a food photographer living in the burbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The culinary world is my happy place, and I love sharing my excitement over food through gorgeous images.
Food has always had a special place in my life. It’s been the hallmark of new experiences and the foundation of unforgettable memories with friends and family. It is emotional; my goal is to create photos that capture a story.
I fell in love with cooking in college while binge-watching every cooking show the Food Network could throw at me. A few years later I picked up my first DSLR and never looked back. Clean Plate Studio is my way of sharing my passion for food and photography.
The style of my food photography varies, but my images are rooted in a focus on the food itself in an organic setting.
I love crafting light and shadows to show off the beauty of real food through honest images. Details are important, so I use contrast in my photos to create depth and draw the eye to texture.
I have an obsession with pasta, dried chiles, and buttercream. My cookbook collection is always expanding, and I love finding inspiration for a new dish or image in the world around me.
My husband, Zac, and I live in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania with our two pets: a labradoodle named Charlie and parrotlet named Stu.
The story behind the name
Zac and I fell in love over food. Whether it was exploring new recipes in our kitchen or trying out new restaurants, we both share a thrill for eating.
After Zac finished a dish he loved, he would hold up his plate and proudly state that he was a high ranking member of the Clean Plate Clb. With that, I knew I had a great name for my business.
